President, Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc.
As President of the Engineered Systems Segment (ESS) of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, Hall is responsible for Teledyne Brown Engineering, Teledyne Energy Systems, and Teledyne Advanced Electronic Solutions.
Hall is responsible for strategic positioning and direction of the segment which serves the aerospace, defense, maritime, and energy markets.
The ESS provides design, development, and fabrication of a diverse array of advanced technology-driven solutions, systems, products, and services for complex and harsh environments. The focus of the segments' work is driven by the highest quality standards, mission critical and/or human-rated requirements. The business portfolio is comprised of manned and unmanned deep-sea vehicles; modeling and simulation software for missile defense and medical logistics planning; hardware for space applications, and missions; operation of the International Space Station's Mission Operations and Integration; radioisotope thermal electric long duration power systems for deep sea to deep space applications; specialized fuel cells and batteries; nuclear and chemical processing systems; and advanced manufacturing.
Before his role as the ESS President, Hall served as Senior Vice President of the Maritime Systems and Hardware Operations groups for Teledyne Brown Engineering, leading over 250 engineers, program managers, manufacturing, and quality professionals. In this role, he was responsible for full life-cycle development, delivery and sustainment of complex weapon systems, vehicles, undersea systems, and solutions for naval applications. In addition, the Hardware Operations group was responsible for the fabrication and assembly of the company's energy, space, and defense manufacturing programs. Hall possesses over 30 years of experience in complex manufacturing, program management and engineered systems development.
Hall joined Teledyne Brown Engineering in 2004 as a Program Manager for multiple Department of Defense programs to include aviation engine diagnostic systems, various missile ground support hardware, and weapon system programs. He was an integral part in the company's award of the American Centrifuge Program to manufacture gas centrifuge service modules for uranium enrichment, which revitalized the company's participation in the energy market. Hall served as Director of Nuclear Programs with responsibilities focused on the capture and management of the company's energy and nuclear related projects. After years of successful growth in the Energy Market, he was promoted to Vice President of Manufactured Products and shortly thereafter was given the additional role of Senior Vice President of Maritime Systems and Hardware Operations.
Prior to joining Teledyne Brown Engineering, Hall served as Vice President of Operations for SanTek Engineering. Beginning his career as the Manufacturing Supervisor, he was promoted to Vice President, managing all Department of Defense and NASA contracts for 13 years. His duties included various business functions including production management, continuous improvement initiatives, R&D, new product integration, configuration management, quality, and automated production systems.
Hall holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems and Mathematics from Auburn University. He is a member of the Auburn Alumni Association, Navy League, National Defense Industrial Association, Army Aviation Association of America, the Association of the U.S. Army, and the World Nuclear Association.
