Kevin McCombs has 20 years of experience leading large complex programs and organizations, and has experience in the areas of program and supply chain management, and continuous improvement.
As Vice President of Mission Systems, McCombs has responsibility on programs that support multiple aerospace and defense customers globally. His business unit delivers products and services that include systems engineering and integration, software development, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, medical logistics planning, and missile targets.
McCombs also leads the Supply Chain Management organization for Teledyne Brown Engineering. In this role he is involved in critical aspects of the supply chain to include procurement, material pricing, supplier development, and compliance to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
McCombs joined Teledyne in 2017 as the Senior Director of Mission Systems and later became the Vice President of the business unit, while taking on the leadership role for the Supply Chain organization. Prior to his position with Teledyne, McCombs worked for Raytheon Company for 12 years where he served in positions of increasing responsibility which included: Risk, Issue and Opportunity Manager for the Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) Product Line; Proposal Manager and Program Manager on Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) BLK IIA; Material Program Manager within the Supply Chain Management organization; and as the Development Program Manager on the Redesigned Kill Vehicle program, the Missile Defense Agency’s next generation Kill Vehicle. In that position, McCombs was responsible for driving new business growth and worked with leadership to provide cost effective, technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
Prior to joining Raytheon in 2005, McCombs worked for Unisys Corporation in Bedford, New Hampshire as an Information Systems Consultant, later becoming a Portfolio Sales Executive. In that role, he was responsible for North America and provided media solutions to major media and publishing companies.
McCombs received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Logistics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He is also a certified Six Sigma Expert. He lives in Madison, AL with his two children and enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
